Il mio futuro in Puglia: gli studenti raccontano lo StartNet Camp di Lecce

For two days students, entrepreneurs, teachers and experts, institutions and schools all came together in the Koreja Theatre in Lecce to discuss and work together on the professions and skills of the future in tourism, cultural heritage, artisan craftsmanship, fashion and design, the agrifood sector and the marine economy.

Some statistics on the participants: 150 students from secondary schools, technical and professional schools in Apulia, 24 entrepreneurs, 40 teachers, 20 Italian and international experts and many institutional representatives (MIUR – Italian Ministry of Education and Research, Regione Puglia, Confindustria, Confcommercio, Coldiretti, Federalberghieri, the Port System Authority of the Southern Adriatic Sea and many others).

Keynote speeches, workshops, inspirational talks, business labs and round tables were mixed with moments of entertainment from youth orchestras and theatre groups. The innovative and participative format put forward the students as the protagonists of the event.

The event highlighted the wealth of skills and resources already present in the region and in youth, schools and entrepreneurship in all five sectors in Apulia.

The need to improve the dialogue between students and the public and private employment market became clear, for example through exchange programmes and educational initiatives in places of culture in the field of cultural heritage.

Numerous voices call for continuous development for young people and companies in the digital field, in marketing and communication, particularly in the agricultural sector and in the artisan, fashion and design sectors.

In the marine economy sector, entrepreneurs and pupils have proposed new ways of creating networks and encouraging entrepreneurial spirit among young people in Apulia.
